The release date and editions of Sonic Origin were announced earlier today but fans are not very happy because of the amount of locked off DLC content that involves game’s Hard missions, camera controls on some of the elements of primary menu and character animations while playing some music.
In the remastered collection of Sonics 1,2 and 3 there are 8 pieces of content that has not been included in the basic edition and it spreaded on various editions and DLC packs.
As per the website of Sonic origins,, hard missions, and mirror mode getting unlocked and some of the animations and music are all locked behind the DLC packs staring from launch. Even the most pricey Digital Deluxe Edition comes automatically with all things as fans have to preorder collection for ticking off all piece of DLC.
Fans are showing their concerns through Tweets such as Sonic Origins feels like a fighting game with DLC or they are not liking the digital deluxe stuff SEGA keeps on pulling.
Another user tweeted that nowadays it is not possible to put everything on a single version of a game as they have to pull out every penny from fans.
Sonic Origins price
The basic edition of Sonic origins is priced at $39.99 and is not available with any extra but when players will preorder will get 100 coins as bonus, free letterbox back ground and mirror mode unlocked. Its premium pack is available with hard missions, letterbox background, main menu having character animations and camera controls on main menu island and character animations at the time of Music Island.
The Digital Deluxe Edition which sells at $49.99 mainly involves most of the extras but as mentioned before players will have to preorder the game to get access to Mirror mode along with the bonus coins as well as letterbox background.
Sonic Origins will be available for fans on PS 4 and PS 5, Nintendo switch, Xbox one and PC on June 23.
