Google Wallet Will Make A Return

Google wallet is good place for managing your card, pass and many more things.

It seems Google is working on bringing its wallet back in a form after it made Google wallet part of the Google Pay. Mishaal Rahman said that the company will create a wallet interface for Google play services which will facilitate you in accessing and managing your payment and transit card, rewards memberships, passes and many more things.

At present you are managing most of these in Google Pay and it seems like you will get access to the new wallet from the app itself and according to Rahman you can use it for making all contactless payments. It also seems that the cards that you will put into your wallet is easily accessible from different places because a link is there in the screenshot that says “learn how passes in your wallet appears across Google.

In the year 2011. Google Wallet was initiated as Google NFC payment application serving as a platform for storing all of your payment cards in digital form. Then it started evolving as a digital payment services to be a Venmo competitor prior to getting folded along with Android pay and became Google Pay in the year 2018. Since then the app has totally revamped and turned into something more than just an app that you were using to send money to your friends and store your digital cards.

The transition was quite confusing for some people.  The fact that Google Pay is making an attempt to manage everything in terms of payment does not help. If Google will bring back wallet as a different location for managing your cards, it assist in focusing Google Pay experience back to paying at the stores and sending your friends money.
