And the new button, “Two Thumbs up,” will be seen along with the existing one thumbs up and thumbs down button. This new feature will allow consumers or viewers to show deep affection for TV shows or movies that they like.
It will assist Netflix in understanding what individual subscribers liked that they were not satisfied with one thumbs up. It is a highly demanding feature within an experience.
Christine Doig Cardet, director of product innovation and personalization experiences at Netflix, tells The Verge that “Members have never had as many great entertainment options as they have right now,” Getting hold of shows that viewers liked more is very important. It will help Netflix become a platform where it is very easy to select something to view.
In 2017, Netflix discarded its five-star rating for the Thumbs up and Thumbs down the system. Doig Cardet said users didn’t feel signifying which titles they liked and disliked was enough. The new button must assist subscribers to navigate better the huge library of various shows and movies on Netflix by providing them with a better way of liking titles.
